2024 cELEBRATIONS AND pHOTOS

The Inland Empire Mustang Club cruised from the Cabela's parking lot at Stateline ID to Newport WA, Albeni Falls Dam for a quick break and photo op and onto Sandpoint ID's City Beach Park for a picnic. We had 16 Mustangs join the cruise with two additional Mustangs and the local police meeting us at the park. Great time for all.

"We drove the 1973 Mustang to the Mustang Owner's Museum. I have my lady friend with me, Elaine, she was 10 when the World's Fair opened with the brand-new Mustang as the Disney ride. Her dad got her a season pass and she would ride her bike to the fair and drive the Mustangs. She got to see the one she rode it as a 10-year-old girl. She enjoyed the visit very much. Our car was picked by Jerry Heasley, automotive book author, magazine writer, and photographer and editor of the Barn Find videos, for an award. Thanks so much. The car was a barn find and sat for 27 years. Was driven about 500 miles that week, still original...."

My daughter and I attended the national mustang birthday party at Charlotte motor speedway on our way back from a vacation in Florida. Our favorite event was being able to climb into a dark horse and take a hot lap around the racecourse. We both also got to experience what 638 lb of torque feels like in the drift pit with a new mustang EV. What a thrill! I am the proud owner of a 2011 mustang 6 speed, as well as a 2007 mustang convertible which is in the photo attached. I love this car more than any I have ever owned and I am 66 years old.

The First Tennessee Regional Mustang Club held a cruise in at Empire Ford in Abington, Va. We had approximately 60 cars. The interesting thing was a Mustang driver on his way home from Florida to New Jersey made a stop to gas up and was able to visit for a while. We also had a future Mustanger.

We bought a cake and wrote "Happy Mustang Day" on it. We shared it during lunch. I (the Mustang lover of the group) asked them "what is their favorite Mustang memory?" There were some fun stories but most of them were something with one of the Mustangs I have owned. It then sparked a conversation about why I love them so much.
I also wished many of my students "Happy Mustang Day" as they came to class.
Lastly, I gave out a few Mustang Hot Wheels to those that seemed excited about National Mustang Day.

I got my 2014 Mustang GT out of the garage and drove it to work! I bought it on April 17, 2014, and it only has 14,400 miles on it! Not only was it the 60th Anniversary of my favorite car, it was the 10th Anniversary of me buying my Mustang.

Remembering my trip to the grand opening of the Mustang Owners Museum in the original building. That was the best road trip I have ever driven. Perfect weather, perfect roads, great event. I thoroughly enjoyed driving my first car for over a week at any speed.
I was not able to attend this year. I really wanted to see and talk to John Coletti again. He and his team of engineers met me at the Tulsa Shelby meet drag strip for them to look over my 69 Mach ! that I had just completed the first 4.6L mod motor transplant in 1991. They used their pictures, video and information I provided to show Ford board members that there was interest in the new motor in a Mustang. The 4.6L had only been for sale for six months in the 91 Lincoln Town Car at the time of my swap. This swap contributed to keeping the Mustang rear wheel drive. Ford was considering making the Mustang front wheel drive for the second time.

The CSRA Mustang & Ford Club celebrated National Mustang Day and the 60 Anniversary of the Mustang with a cruise-in at the Sno-Cap Drive-in in N. Augusta, SC. There was stickers, cupcakes, good food, ice cream, and oh yeah, lots of cars!
We talked to several people attending the event and they all seemed to have a Mustang story to share! We made some new friends and may have converted a couple Camaro owners!
A good time was had by ALL!
